TERMS OF SERVICE

Since the student will be participating in a workshop given in virtual mode, I confirm that he/she has a computer, a camera, a microphone and the Zoom application [free] in order to follow the workshop.

I confirm that the student is technologically comfortable using the online tools, i.e. Zoom and the interactive platform where all workshop content will be found, and understands that all meetings take place with the camera open.

The student understands that while the group is a strength and provides a safe environment, it is not group therapy or a support group. Therefore, there will be no opportunity to talk extensively about personal experiences with the aim of finding solutions or venting.

The student understands that the self-management workshop in which he or she will participate is a group process. Their active participation in the group is important throughout the process, not only for their personal recovery journey, but also for mutual support within the group.

Participant commitment is an essential ingredient at the heart of the group approach in our self-management workshops. Peer support complements the psycho-educational approach, and is an essential component in the success of our workshops. To this end, participants are required to actively participate in a minimum of 5 sessions (excluding the first introduction session of virtual workshops) to consider a self-management workshop “completed”.

Access to the learning platform will be available only to participants who complete the minimum number of sessions required.

The student agrees to complete the feedback form at the end of the workshop.

I explained and confirmed the terms of service to the student (a copy of the terms of service will be emailed to the student).

Students' workshops are reserved for individuals who are currently enrolled in a college or university program. I confirm that I am currently enrolled at one of these levels and am eligible to participate in the workshop.

Since I will be participating in a virtual workshop, I confirm that I have access to a computer, a camera, a microphone, and the Zoom application (free of charge) required to participate.

I confirm that I am comfortable using the required online tools, including Zoom and the interactive learning platform where workshop materials will be available. I also understand that all sessions take place with cameras turned on.

I understand that while the group provides a supportive and safe environment, it is not group therapy or a support group. Therefore, there will be no opportunity to speak at length about personal experiences for the purpose of finding solutions or venting.

I understand that the self-management workshop is a group-based process. My active participation throughout the workshop is important, both for my own recovery journey and for fostering mutual support among group members.

I understand that participant engagement is a key component of the self-management workshop process. Peer support complements the psychoeducational approach and is essential to the success of the workshop. To be considered as having completed the workshop, I am required to actively participate in a minimum of five sessions (excluding the introductory session for virtual workshops).

I understand that access to the learning platform will be available only to participants who meet the minimum attendance requirement.

I agree to complete the feedback form that will be sent to me by email at the end of the workshop.

I confirm that I have read and agree to the terms of service for Relief's Self-Management Workshops for Students.
